Drew Cosenza, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, AAHIVS, HIVPCP (he/him)

Drew Cosenza, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, AAHIVS, HIVPCP is a certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with extensive experience in primary care, HIV prevention and management, LGBTQ+ health, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and treatment. He is deeply committed to providing inclusive, culturally affirming, and evidence-based care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social determinants of health for diverse patient populations. 

 

Drew began his education at Gateway Community College where he obtained an Associate degree in Nursing. He continued his education at Quinnipiac University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He later completed his Master of Science in Nursing, becoming certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. His clinical work has focused on delivering comprehensive primary care while addressing health disparities that disproportionately affect underserved and LGBTQ+ communities. 

 

Through his clinical practice, Drew has developed extensive expertise in HIV prevention and care, including the delivery of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), HIV treatment, and risk-reduction counseling. He holds the AAHIVS (American Academy of HIV Medicine Specialist) credential and is also recognized as an HIV Primary Care Provider (HIVPCP), demonstrating advanced knowledge in HIV prevention, diagnosis, and long-term management. 

 

Drew’s clinical philosophy is grounded in providing patient-centered, holistic care that emphasizes prevention, education, and empowerment. He strives to create a safe and affirming healthcare environment where patients feel respected, supported, and actively engaged in their health decisions. 

 

He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus on population health and improving equitable access to healthcare for marginalized and underserved communities.
