From local schools to the other side of the world, our mission takes shape far beyond our walls. As we treat patients here in Connecticut, we also provide life-saving support, practical resources, and welcoming communities where LGBTQ+ people need them most.
Our Advocacy Initiatives
We’re creating communities where LGBTQ+ people can live comfortable, safe, and truly fulfilling lives. Our initiatives include youth and family support, binder programs, transgender advocacy, and other resources.
Sometimes, it can be particularly difficult for LGBTQ+ people to access food, housing, medication, transportation, and other necessities. We come up with solutions as unique as the people we serve, so no one has to live without the essentials.
Here in our community and in Zimbabwe, we lead programs that help educate and provide resources to vulnerable populations – whether they have HIV or are working to prevent it.

Advocating for the rights, health, and happiness of the LGBTQ+ community drives us every day. We’re proud to fund and support organizations that do the same.
For young adults experiencing homelessness, Y2Y New Haven not only provides temporary beds, but works to create sustainable pathways out of homelessness and develop skills for long-term success.
The Silo is a place for learning and celebrating through the arts and music, creating a community built on peace, love, and solidarity.
The Jim Collins Foundation raises money to help transgender people access gender-affirming surgery, making sure their transition is a healthy, safe, and positive experience.
In addition to the providers and staff that keep our medical practice going, our advocacy team carries out our mission in the community at large. They plan and run fundraisers, events, and other programs that educate and support LGBTQ+ people and their loved ones.
