Director of Prevention, Outreach and Advocacy
The road that led Lenny to the team at HCAI began when he first discovered he was HIV-positive, and he met his physician who would ultimately become one of the founders of HCAI. That was 30 years ago. After living with HIV for three decades, Lenny's diagnosis does not define him. Having once been the patient who went to his physician feeling hopeless and unsure, He feels empowered that he can say, “You’re here now, there is hope, there is a happy future ahead.”
Working at HCAI is how Lenny instills that same hope in others. In addition to serving as the Director of Global Prevention, Outreach and Advocacy at HCAI since 2017, he has a degree in clinical nutrition, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and has been an award-winning bodybuilding fitness competitor.
Lenny supports HCAI patients and friends of the practice both in the office and in the community—advocating for an end to LGBTQ+ stigma and discrimination.
Outside of work, Lenny enjoys movies, musicals, margaritas and shucking his own clams and oysters on the half shell.
