A message to our patients from Pattie McKnight, HCAI Executive Director

HCAI continues to thrive and remains open for business at our Stratford office (2595 Main St.). In fact, there are exciting new changes on the horizon that we will announce soon!

Our website and social media properties continue to be the best place for you to access the most accurate and up to date practice information, new patient forms and contact information for our office.

As a reminder, HCAI’s dedicated team of providers led by Elysia Cerreta-Dial, is committed to providing best in class care in a welcoming, open and honest environment.

You can continue to use HCAI/Koop Community Pharmacy for your prescriptions, even if you choose to transition your medical care to another health care provider or practice.

Please note that you have the right to choose the care that you believe is right for you, including the right to choose your health care provider and preferred pharmacy. CT state law states that a medical practitioner cannot deny you care if you choose not to use their preferred pharmacy and they cannot force you to switch pharmacies.

If you are being denied care for not switching pharmacies or being forced to switch pharmacies, you can file a complaint with the State of Connecticut HERE.

This is HCAI

We are Health Care Advocates International (HCAI), home to Connecticut’s leading LGBTQ+ and HIV providers since 2016. Our LGBTQ+ friendly providers welcome you into a safe, judgement-free, and supportive environment free from stigma and discrimination. Fostering trust between our providers and our patients is essential.

Our work makes an impact around the world, too. From here in Connecticut to the villages of Zimbabwe, we use prevention programs, education, advocacy, and treatment to build a better life for those who are too often left behind.
